Steve C. Palmitier, CLU, LLIF

President & Chief Operating Officer


With over 33 years of industry experience, Steve Palmitier currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at North American Company. Steve began his career in the field as both an agent and a Regional Director for several companies, and brings his in-depth knowledge of agent needs to the top level of North American Company.

In 1990, Steve joined Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company as Vice President of Sales and later was promoted to Senior Vice President of Penn Mutual's Independent Financial Network. In 1996, he came to the Sammons Financial Group family (North American's parent company), as Midland National's Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, and was named President of Sammons Securities Company (Midland National Broker-Dealer) several years later. In 2007, Steve's role expanded to include President and Chief Operating Officer of North American. In 2010 he was also named C.E.O and Chairman of Sammons Securities Companies.

Steve has served on the board of LIMRA* and on several of its committees. He has been married to his wife Teresa for 30 years, and they have four children together and reside in Hinsdale, IL.

 


Garth A. Garlock

Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer


Garth is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of North American Company. With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a career that spans 24 years in the life insurance industry, his tenure has included experience in operations, as well as, sales, marketing and product development.

Garth began his career at North American in 2000. As part of the Senior Management Team, Garth is responsible for input on a wide range of strategic and tactical issues, including distribution strategy, sales, recruiting, agency management, and compensation. Garth helped to spearhead the development of this game-changing North American Partner Program, and has led North American in becoming one of the dominant carriers of universal and indexed universal life insurance.

In addition to Garth's valuable influence at North American, he remains actively involved in industry organizations like LIMRA,1 NAILBA,2 as well as charitable organizations in the Chicago area.


 


Brad Rosenblatt

Vice President, Marketing & Sales Development


Brad Rosenblatt joined North American Company in March of 2007. Before joining North American, he spent several years at McKinsey and Co. consulting insurance companies on a range of sales and marketing topics. Prior to his time at McKinsey, Brad spent several years in sales and marketing roles at two prominent market research firms.

Since joining North American Company, Brad has held several roles. He served as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, overseeing the organization's strategic planning process and several cross-functional initiatives. In 2009, Brad was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Sales Development for the North American life division. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing Marketing Communications, Sales Development and Life Market Insights, as well as collaborating with sales leadership to implement the company's growth strategies for Life sales.

Brad received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Northwestern University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. Currently, Brad is actively involved in LIMRA,* as well as numerous charitable activities in Chicago.
